Large Files

Ever wanted to send a large file to a client, or be able to receive one in return? Normal email doesn't support files larger than 10MB, so you're forced to send a physical copy of the file, or spend time trying to find a way to upload it to the internet and hope your client can figure out how to download it. We feel your pain! We struggled with how to handle this properly ourselves, so we built our own solution. Large Files gives you a simple medium to share files with clients. They can upload files to you via widgets on your page, and you can send files to them via direct-download links through email. It's as simple as it sounds and will save you the headache of trying to send the file other ways.

How to Use Large Files

  1. The homepage of Large Files will display all the files currently stored in our storage space - including files for and from our visitors or clients.
    1. We can click any filename, or the direct-download link, to view the address of the direct-download link for that file. We can also choose to download the file yourself with the download icon.
    2. We may email the direct-download link to whoever we want by checking the files we wish to send, then selecting Email from the dropdown below, and finally clicking Proceed.
      1. This will open a window containing the information to send the email
      2. Enter the emails we wish to send files to, each separated by commas, enter the message may want to send with it, then click Send to send it out.
    3. We can also choose to delete files by checking the files we wish to delete, selecting Delete from the dropdown, and clicking Proceed.
  2. We may also directly upload a new file by clicking Upload file,
    1. Simply select the file we want to upload, then we can optionally send out the download link immediately to individuals directly from this form in the same manner listed above.
    2. Clicking Upload will both upload and send out the email
